Shoko Oka (“we”) establishes this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) regarding the handling of personal information of users of the mobile application “selinsa” (the “App”) which we provide.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to the handling of personal information related to use of the App. The App is distributed exclusively through the App Store operated by Apple Inc. and the Google Play store operated by Google LLC.

3. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information from users of the App.

The App is a standalone application that operates entirely on the user’s device. We do not transmit or store any of the following information on any servers or services we operate:

  • The content, file names, or metadata of PDF files that users handle in the App
  • User names, email addresses, or other contact information
  • Device identifiers (including IDFA, AAID, or other advertising identifiers)
  • Location information
  • Contacts (address book) or photo library content
  • Browsing history or search history
  • Health or fitness information
  • App usage statistics (operation logs, usage time, screen transitions, etc.)
  • Crash reports or diagnostic information
  • IP addresses or other communication metadata

All PDF processing in the App (including imposition processing) is completed locally on the user’s device.

3.1 Regarding Purchase Processing by App Stores

Purchase processing for the App is handled through each app store operated by Apple Inc. and Google LLC. Information that users have registered with each store (Apple ID, Google account, payment information, etc.) is handled by the respective operator. This information is not disclosed to us.

We receive receipts or tokens indicating the fact of purchase from each store, but these are used only for verification purposes within the App (on the user’s device) and are not transmitted to our servers.

3.2 Voluntary Provision via Contact Form

The App provides a contact form. If a user voluntarily contacts us through this form, the content of the inquiry and the return contact information (email address, etc.) are sent from the user’s device directly to our email address.

We use this information solely for responding to the inquiry, and delete it within two years after the response is complete.

4. Purpose of Use

Information voluntarily provided by users under Section 3.2 is used only for the following purposes:

  • Responding to and addressing inquiries
  • Improving the App (when aggregated in a non-identifying manner)

We do not use personal information for any other purposes.

5. Provision to Third Parties

We do not provide collected personal information to third parties except in the following cases:

  • When we have obtained the user’s consent
  • When required by law
  • When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and obtaining the user’s consent is difficult

6. Security Measures

We have implemented the following measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of information provided through the contact form:

  • Encryption of communication channels (HTTPS / TLS)
  • Minimization of access rights to received inquiry information
  • Deletion within a reasonable period after the inquiry has been addressed

  • Cessation of use or erasure

8. Children’s Privacy

Although the App is not specifically targeted at any particular age group, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 for residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom). As described in the preceding section, the App is designed not to actively collect personal information in the first place.

9. For Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom have various rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR regarding personal data (access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority).

We do not actively collect personal data from users in connection with the use of the App. Only information voluntarily provided through the contact form constitutes personal data we hold. 10. For California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

Residents of California have various rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) regarding personal information.

We do not sell or share any personal information with third parties.

Since we do not actively collect personal information from users in connection with the use of the App, the data subject to disclosure requests is limited to information voluntarily provided through the contact form.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The App does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may change this Policy due to changes in laws, changes in service content, or other circumstances. When making changes, we will post the contents of the revised Policy and the effective date on our website.

For significant changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice. The revised Policy applies to use of the App on or after the effective date.
